Milan apartment cooking experiments: Behind the scenes

Indian expat living in international Milan tastes the most exotic food from across the world. The best thing about apartment sharing life is the cooking.

Everyone who initially starts sharing apartments is very interested in cooking and sharing food. Its a great way to know your flat mates. I used to do the same when I was living with female flat mates earlier back in the day.

Lately, I try to optimize my food intake, trips to the super market, and working hours. As a Blogger, I need to cross 5 million Alexa website rank as soon as possible. Its 9.2 million currently, came down from 18 million 2 months back.

As I Blog about the delicious food I have savored in this city, I am very fortunate for my food tasting experiences. From disliking vegetables as a kid, I never miss a chance to stir fry a quick veggie meal when I can now.

3 signs you are becoming Italian

  • Enjoying Pasta al dente: Not everyone is ready for this and it is an acquired taste. When you eat pasta to fill yourself after a tiring day at work, you begin to earn for pasta al dente.
  • Making Coffee with the Mocha: This stage arrives much before the acquired taste for Pasta al dente. Enjoying freshly filtered coffee from your Mocha and ditching that Nescafe instant coffee happened in my very first year in Italy.
  • No to Cappucino after lunch: When I first arrived here, I had cappuccino every time. The idea of sipping on a little cup of concentrated coffee was never appealing. Soon I got hooked to the caffeine. The milk was only for morning coffeee as I begun to abide by the Italian rule of no cappuccino after lunch.
